The truck I have had an aftermarket grill in the front when I purchased it. Even though I like it, im thinking its for a different year or something. The reason I think this is because I cant lift my front bumper enough to cover the turn signal screws without hitting the grill.
Can someone with a stock grill get me the height measurements on it? Maybe a straight front on picture so I can see how the bumper matches up to that?
I don't have my truck or measurements handy, but I can get you a pic. BTW, why do you want to cover the screws? That would make it difficult to remove the turn signal for bulb changes...
Really prob not covering the screws, but compared to your picture between your turn signals and bumper, mine looks like the grand canyon. I want to shrink the gap some.
I doubt its a body lift. Looking at pictures and your pictures im thinking its the 06 grill. On either side of yours, your grill starts going to the middle right at the bottom of the turn signals. On mine the grill goes down about 3/4 of an in below the turn signals then goes in. Ill put money on the 06 grill, but will get pictures when I can.
No. Its an aftermarkt grill, not a Ford grill. but if you look at the sides on the grill continues down past the bottom of the lights before going horizontal, thats what this one does.
Here you go. You can kind of see it in this picture. I have the bumper shoved as high as I can till its touching the grill and thats the space I have. The left side you can barely see but its a lot more noticable.
How is it supposed to mount. If I go any higher (I have tried) the bottom clips dont fit into the slots. Theres 4 clips on the bottom, and then the 4 screws on the top, I dont see how you could hook it up any other way.
Yea I see it, I just have no clue how else you could bolt it up. Higher and the bottom clips dont fit. The only thing I could even think for the problem would be a cheap made knock off grill.

Yeah that appears to be the correct generation grill, not sure what's up with it though.
Maybe the core support/header panel is not installed correctly? I say that because you have a gap at the hood, and the grill, as you know, simply screws to the top of the header panel, and clips at the bottom. I will try to get a measurement for you, when I get home.
