Gear ratio identifying

Hello all,

I am trying to come up with gear ratio out of my 9 inch Rearend. I have counted 35 teeth on the ring gear and 10 teeth on the pinion gear. There is a number 4210 stamped on the gear but I'm thinking that's not the ratio. Any help is appreciated as always!

The gear ratio is the number of teeth on the ring gear divided by the number of teeth on the pinion gear. In your case 35/10 = 3.50.

Hello, I went out and turned my yoke and watched a mark that I had mad in the ring gear. The yoke turns 3.5 times to make one revolution of the ring gear. So I'm assuming with the counted teeth and the turning of the yoke that the Rearend is a 3.50. Thank you all.
