I was told by the dealer that my truck was late getting to the dealer due to the fact that ford pulled it for a test drive
He said ford pulls every 50 or so vehicles to do a quality check?
Any one ever hear this?

If they did, I doubt they'd do it and inconveinience a customers ordered truck. They'd do it on a random truck, not an ordered one.

Ford does pull one from the line after so many built and put a few miles on it.
There should be no reason it would be delayed though.
If it was test driven, you will have a note on the dash (or at least they used to leave one).
Look over the truck good.

There will be a note in the cab to be removed by you regarding the extra miles they put on the truck for QC purposes.
You're dealer doesn't know why. They are just listing answers in order to get all good scores on their survey.

Yes...FORD does random pull for quality control...but that doesn't take much time at all.
