95 E150 rear ABS drum
Brakes pull to the right, the harder I brake the harder it pulls. I've replaced pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, coil springs, rear springs, new tires, alignment, balljoints are fine, new radius arm bushings, everything seems tight. Can't find any issues with rear brakes, pretty sure the proportioning valve works from front to rear.
After I replaced the rotors and pads the problem almost disappeared but soon started again. Only 2 things I can think of, obstruction in drivers side front brake line, master cylinder/booster? I do seem to have a fading brake pedal at times sitting at a light.
Well, its not the RABS. Front brakes on a RABS van should go from the master to a block, then down to each caliper.
I would try a flush 'n bleed, if you haven't already. Vac the fluid out of the master, refill with fresh from a new bottle, and vac bleed till you wrist hurts.
If your pedal is riding down at lights, then replace your master. There is no point in risking it. Check your booster to make sure it isn't a brake fluid filled mess.
I pretty much flushed all the old fluid out, although I could do that one front side again. If I replace the master I'll replace the booster regardless.
if you replace the master, make sure it isn't made by cardone. their quality is infamous and in the last week alone i've heard 2 stories on here of people getting defective MC's they built. tell the guy at the parts store you'll take it as long as they didn't make it
Cardone has the reman market cornered. They are also buddies with Delphi, and most 'store brand' remans most likely come from Cardone's Mexico operation.
Cardone Select is new parts. They are not bad. You can still get Bendix stuff, but I like Centric premium. Centric stuff is new production, and they do a pretty damn good job.
last i checked, napa was starting to get other brands instead of cardone, and if you ask around, more options are popping up.
i've only tried a couple of cardone select parts, and so far haven't had a problem, but i'm not ready to trust my luck on that.
call around, you'll find a good one, but expect it to cost a little more than a cardone
Now that 95e150CW claims "Cardone has the reman market cornered. They are also buddies with Delphi, and most 'store brand' remans most likely come from Cardone's Mexico operation." AND "Cardone Select is new parts."
please clarify:

When you said "make sure it isn't MADE by cardone" Did you mean remanufactured?
When you said "defective MC's they BUILT" Did you mean rebuilt?
When you go to Advance Auto, AutoZone, O-Reilly's, Pep Boys, CarQuest, etc. is there an EZ way to tell when a 'reman' part in a Brand X box "came from Cardone's Mexican operation" IF "their quality is infamous"?
you interpreted my words correctly. usually the guy at the counter knows or can look up what (re)builder it came from
for example, here's the page from oreilly's with their list of options List: Brake Master Cylinder - 1995 Ford E-150 Econoline | O'Reilly Auto Parts clearly showing both cardone and other options.
