Truck sounds awesome matt. A real workhorse. Throw some pics up on the rides thread when you get a chance.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Going to get some canoeing in with my family on Saturday. I also would really like to get out and hunt and or shoot the new muzzle loader. I've taken it all apart. Cleaned it up. I have powder, caps, ammo, lube, and patches. Going to start with 70 grains, a .570 round ball, and .012 patch(pillow tick). I have a #11 nipple on it now. Ill see how that works. Then try the musket sized one. Ill try to get some pics if I get it out.

Thanks for the compliments! There's a lot of guys my age with lifted trucks all shiny and pretty around here, but they never even grass, much less dirt. Mine does work, and that's what she's built to do. I've got a ton of tools and gear in her. I can pretty much handle, or at least work towards handling, the majority of any situation you may run in to. lol. I'll try to get a few pics up today, as I have some free time.

Also, I was wondering when the next dinner is gonna be, so I can plan accordingly. I work two jobs plus my contract work, so the further in advance the better lol.

Got in a morning hunt this past Saturday. A little windy but otherwise nice weather. Saw three doe right at daylight. Kept waiting for a buck to come sniffing up behind them but he never showed. Had a clear shot on one of the does but didn't take it. Wishing I had now. Still a really nice morning to be out in the woods.

I found some coyote poop while scouting. Fresh too. Probably why I didn't see any more deer that morning.

Also got a chance to light up the black powder gun this weekend. I used 80 grains with a 570 ball some patch grease and cloth tick and a #11 cap. She shoots real smooth. Knocks a heck of a hole in the target at 40 yards.

I got to do a little huntin' myself, bout midnight on Tuesday. Deer smacked right into my passenger side door! Craziest part, I was in town!!! Deer love me, I swear, this makes my third deer since I was 16. Busted my mirror, dented the door so bad it wouldn't open. Pulled out the trusty dent puller and pulled most of it out, the door opens. Insurance will probably pay out enough to replace the door, 'cause it's still obviously dented in about 6 places, but I'll probably just replace the mirror and put the rest to a parts truck for my transmission and other projects lol.

Dents just give it character. Besides it looks natural for a real truck that gets used like a truck. I hope you got out and clubed the deer to death. Lol, To take out the anger of denting your truck.

Glad just your door got the worst. Must be the stealth paint job on that truck. Deer run off? Buck or doe? Glad you're alright and you already got it "fixed."

Saw eight yesterday morning across the road from my kid's bus stop. All good sized doe. No bucks. Seems like the rut is starting late this season around here.

Y'all have a good weekend.

I didn't even stop. iI just kept rolling. I knew if I got out I'd empty the mag in my Glock 30 on it, and then I'd have no meat left and probably be in trouble with Graham PD even though I know most of 'em lol. And I agree, as long as everything functions the dents stay lol

Shoo wee. What a weekend. Hope everyone had a good one. We were busier then heck.

Had a bunch of folks from out of town come in and hang out all weekend. Dinner and state basketball game friday night. Tailgating and football game Saturday. Then going out saturday evening. Sunday was full of seeing everyone off, cleaning up and retrieving kids.

I was able to attend most of it but not all of it. Ill explain why at the dinner. Ill have a full post up soon. Let's just say I had quite a day last Tuesday.

Y'all have a good week.

Good evening NC!!!

Just sitting here thinking about my property in Lumberton, and wishing I was there NOW, instead of here, in MD

James, I think that I have an idea to get more NC Chapter member involved in this forum and events.

1. Create an "Events Forum" that is specifically used to notify every NC Chapter member.

2. NC Chapter Leader posts information about upcoming event.

3. FTE sends emails to ALL NC Chapter members.

4. NC Chapter members go to the "Events Forum" and click on the "Link" that provides all of the details and members can confirm participation.

Normally, FTE sends emails to users when they have posted to a specific thread. However, the issue is that so few NC Chapter members actual visit the NC Chapter forum. Maybe the Moderator can "assign" every NC Chapter member to this new "Events Forum" so that everyone receives an email each time a new event is posted. Maybe only you, the NC Chapter Leader, can post to this new "Events Forum" to maintain control over the posts. In each post, give the basic information for the event and post a "link" to the actual thread, which has all of the detailed information and allows NC Members to respond (like a normal thread). The new "Events Forum" will also provide a timeline of events for member reference. I would assume that other state chapters would benefit from this information distribution concept.

Sounds like a good idea/concept. I'll see what can be done.
