Duraspark II Module
Sometimes I wonder if my Duraspark II module may be failing. It has never been replaced and recently it tested good at a local auto parts store. A friend once had intermittent problems with his (Dodge) and it also tested good. Perhaps when it heats up, the internal resistance increases resulting in ignition problems which may cause the vehicle to run like crap. Just my theory. I take great effort to keep my truck precisely tuned, timed and adjusted but it idles a little rough sometimes and it's driving me nuts! Anyone out there in Ford Truckland ever experience a Duraspark II module failing? How did it act?

They become intermitting when they are about to die. so replace it now before it leaves you on the side of the road. I think its good that it gives you warning before it dies.

Same problem could be cause by Coil getting hot, loosing its internal insulator oil (Have a look inside High voltaje conetor, there is a small screw, it shoul be dry or at least covered by Special silicone)
Check ignition Switch for excesive wear and/or intermitent contact.
