any advice

About to tear into my 351W, its in a 78 F100 Custom 2WD with C6. Plan is a daily driver that I can and will hotrod , once in awhile I might take it to the strip.

Have a Edelbrock performer intake also a Holley 670 street avenger Carb. Picked up a set of GT 40 heads they are off to the shop to be cleaned ported and triple angle valve done.

Will be cleaning up block and reusing it in stock form, will be replacing oil pump not sure yet what to get here.

Now to the big unknown for me here is what cam to go with, have been looking at this web page

Flatlander Racing - Ford COMP Cams Camshafts

It has been recommend on this site that both the 35-234-3 and the 35-238-4 are very good cams for this application but what gains would I get by going with the 35-414-3

Not adding a stall( run out of money) but going with something from 3.50 to 3.70 range in gears.

Even with GT40 heads on it a 351 starts to choke at 4500-5000rpm so using a cam that puts the powerband higher than that will result in less usable power.. not more.
