resealing bendix gearbox

Ok, I just bought a C6TZ-3E500-A<small> </small><small>gearbox seal kit for my bendix gearbox....I was planning doing the saginaw box swap, but apparently in Yuma, no one who owns a salvage yard is open on the weekends, so that really limits my parts hunting ability....I managed to find the kit for $50.....Has anyone done a write up on resealing one of these boxes so I know what to expect before I dive right into this? I'm sure in the future I'll do the swap, but I'm just strapped for time (and money) right now

no ones done this and documented it? or is it just that straightforward that its not needed at all?

I tore into my box on my '64 Galaxie years back. It leaked out the lower seal. I tore it apart, cleaned everything and bolted it back together. Only real issue is setting the backlash with the adjuster screw on top. I know there are proper specs, but I just did it til it felt "nice" and it's been fine for 12 yrs now.

thanks for the reply.....I've been scouring the web and the best I found was an exploded view of the assembly.....I'll just take lots of pictures

Bendix P/S: 1966/68 F100/250 2WD / 1969 F100/250 2WD before serial number D96,001.

C6TZ-3E500-A is the Bendix P/S gearbox master seal kit, includes everything.
