Ok, I just bought a C6TZ-3E500-A gearbox seal kit for my bendix gearbox....I was planning doing the saginaw box swap, but apparently in Yuma, no one who owns a salvage yard is open on the weekends, so that really limits my parts hunting ability....I managed to find the kit for $50.....Has anyone done a write up on resealing one of these boxes so I know what to expect before I dive right into this? I'm sure in the future I'll do the swap, but I'm just strapped for time (and money) right now

I tore into my box on my '64 Galaxie years back. It leaked out the lower seal. I tore it apart, cleaned everything and bolted it back together. Only real issue is setting the backlash with the adjuster screw on top. I know there are proper specs, but I just did it til it felt "nice" and it's been fine for 12 yrs now.
