Waste gate actuator question
been getting the 1249 code for couple years now, have a banks big head waste gate on with banks housing and wheel. is there any better ones i can try or do i have to stay with banks cuz its a banks housing? thanks

What are you wanting to change? I have the same components as you but I dont have the 1249 code. If you want to change the whole thing then I would go with a 38r. I dont remember what the 1249 code is.

i wish but cant afford the 38r. p1249 is Wastegate Fail Steady State Test.

i never took it off. can they come off by them selves? i will go look now

Yes they can come off if the rubber end is in bad condition. Check both ends. Did you try your old wastegate?

both of them are still all connected. i tossed the old turbo and wastegate long time ago

You can disconnect the red line and apply air to that end of the wastegate and see if the actuator moves. Is your rodend connected? Do you still have you old wastegate? You can try swapping them out.

Also did you clean your EBPS located right in front of the hpop reservoir?

Your EBPS is probably clogged. Try this
