Euro headlights

Has anybody out there found a good source for the euro style headlights? Both of my stock ones are so scratched up it is like having two candles up front. I tried polishing the plastic with those headlight polish kits but they are too far gone. I would like something like pictured below. There are tons of them on the web, ebay and such but I am afraid most of them are cheap junk. I see lots of folks running around with them so there must be at least a few good suppliers out there.

Please don't put the "Ricer" headlights on your truck.
Either get the '02-'04s-(they are a direst swap, or the '05-'07s-(THEY require different wireing, and trimming of your header panel.

You do have to be careful of what you get from ebay. There are some reputable sellers and products out there but without some true and good feedback it is tough to figure out who has the good stuff and who is garbage.

Do a search in here for "Headlight swap" and you will find a few guys that have done the swap to newer year styles. You may get what you are looking for and it will be an easier installation.

If you are still wanting to go with Euro style then whoever you buy from, check them and their products out. With the info on the internet these days you can find quite a bit about the sellers and their items.

If I remember right, the 02 to 04's have a clearer lense and swap out just the headlight portion. The 05 to 07's replace the headlight, parking and turn into one housing. As Supercab said.... change a little in the wiring and a small mod to the header panel. Not hard to do but still more work.

Are the 02-04 headlights different than the 01's from the factory?

Thats what I want, the more clear style. The stock 01's remind me of an old Taurus or Tempo and with mine being so cloudy they gotta go! I will look for some in that year range then. I wasn't huge on the "ricer" style either. The 05 swap looks interesting. You can get a set from Riffraff at a pretty good price and their instructions are pretty good on where to cut. Might still go that route.

Not sure which kit you used but the Permatex one which contains wet sand paper and some compound produces great results. I think the grit starts somewhere in the 400-600 range and progresses to 2000. Alternate directions with each grit and keep the water hose on it. Don't move to the next grit until marks from previous grit are gone.

You could buy some wet sand paper but the kit is probably cheaper.

If you haven't tried that consider giving it a go. I've had uniformly bad experience with the Chinese lights, no more for me.

I used the Blue Corral brand. It helped some but I think the previous owner tried cleaning them with some thinner or something because the plastic is soft in spots and really deeply scored. I worked on it with some fine grit and tried to progress up but I was just getting layers of plastic off.

You will like the '02-'04 lights better that the '05-'07s if you put in the Sylvania SilverStar bulbs...DO NOT USE THE ULTRAS they do not last.
The difference between the old stock '99-'01s and the '02-'04s is amazing with some good bulbs, and some report less light with the '05-'07s.....I like my '04s with the SilverStars!

Chrome Crystal Headlights+Corner Lights+Amber 99-04 F-250/350/450/550 Super Duty | eBay

I just put a set of these on my early 99 and really like them. (Last week) I have Silver Stars in them. They really put out the light.

Good Stuff!! You will like them. Are they coming with the coresponding "clear" corner lights?

Easy swap, just do yourself and your truck a favor and get the SilverStar bulbs, and again NOT the ultras......

No clear corner lights, just the headlights. I was hoping to find the whole thing but no dice. I can get the marker/turnsignal lenses from LMC for 90$/pair. Still have to win the auction anyway. I have the silverstars in my car and love them. Kind of blue but not really. more clean light.
