Well I did it. I bought this 79 yesterday. This is the one I was asking y'all bout puttin a 300 in. Original 351M is gone. I've decided to go with something more simple to get it on the road. If I understand right, 351m/400m, 360/390, & 429/460 are all straight bolt ins on this truck. Is that right? Thanks for your time.

Unless you change the transmission bellhousing, the FE series engines (360-390) will not mount up to your transmission. All the other engines you mentioned share the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing.
NIce Bronco, by the way. I'd love to find one like that to rebuild. If you were in my department, I might have to commandeer it for the chief's vehicle. LOL

Thanks for the info guys. With only a different bellhousing, if I find a donar truck with FE series & its own C6, I assume I could just throw in the motor & trans with no other major hangups.
Hey VocaTexas, if your department is anything like mine, there's no way they could afford the gas on this rig. Reguardless which power plant goes in it. Stay safe man.
