Had allighnment done the other day seems ok but when Other mechanic was fixing brake problem he wondered how much allignment people did ! Since we all no the rust on these trucks he didnt see any marks at long bar in front ( has a sleave on it ) since its rusted should have been some sign that bar closest to bottom was loosened and adjusted I no there are some other areas to adjust is there anyway to tell if it was actually done ? ? ? I sure hope it was done my mechanic subed out allignment !
i had my 2004 F350 aligned for the first time just about a month ago with 102k on the clock. I took it to a very good shop that works on full size trucks ever day and Ive bought tires from them since i got my DL in 2002. I was told it was off a little and gave te guy 95 bucks. A week later i was greasing my ball joints and noticed that nothing was touched! I keep my truck as rust free as possible and always keep gloss black paint on everything and not one steering link was scratched or touched. I went back and asked and showed them and they said they only had to touch the drag link adjuster because it was off only a few MM and i was refunded 45 dollars. Even though i have dealt with this shop before and always heard good things about them i will never go back again, even for tire plug.
Thats my point THANKS. I will check with my mechanic its there now for rear caliper ( clean and grease pins ) I will have him see IF ANYTHINGS been adjusted ? Any one else CHIME in !
Checked with my mechanic he did see signs that alignment was done toe and steer ahead ! Also there is a computer sheet from firestone that showed existing measurments and current measurments a few things off. I do drive it like a baby !
