2004 stx rusting
my 04 stx f150 is starting to rust from the inside out right below my stx decal on pass. side of bed, i pointed the then small spot out to the dealer when i got it in feb 07, he tells me its just a little scratch and knocked off a nice chunk$, i really take care of this truck, wash, clay bar polish wax etc., latley i noticed the small spot bubbled up and through, about the size of a pencil eraser, i took it back to ford were i bought the truck w/ cert. ext. warranty, they took 15-20 pics inside and out, said they will submit to ford, they also said ford can be a s.o.b when dealing with rust issues anyone dealt with the issue before? its been 2 weeks and i havent heard nothing

There was a recall to correct a problem with a pad inside the wall, but the recall expired a long time ago. The fix was supposed to prevent premature rust through. I wonder if your truck skipped the recall.
I don't have the specific information on the recall, but you should be able to find it here or elsewhere. Mine was covered.
