Need help tracing a couple wires.....

I am running new wires in my 79 supercab and need some help....

1) I am running new wires from the fuel sending unit to the gauge....I need to know which color wire in the harness am I looking for?

2) I also need to know which ones go from the brake distribution switch to the pedal...wires are missing from switch and ones in the cab were painted...

I believe the sender wire is orange and the brake block wires are purple but I'll have to check or somebody with a book handy can be more exact.

orange wire to the tank selector, black front tank, green/red back tank,has p w(pink white???) for both brake warning wires

I have eliminated the tank selector switch and side tank for a 38 gallon after axle tank. So would that orange wire be the one coming out of the gauge cluster?
