i checked my codes today and found some "soft" codes they are as follows:
p0107 which the edge evolution states as a map sensor reading out of range, low
p0478 EBPV malfunction
p0470 EBPV circuit malfunction
So looking at these, would one who knows more than me say that its all related to the EBPV. I recently started paying attention to my EBP cause I realized that my edge allows me to display 8 gauges at once. Funny thing is I am waiting for my new exhaust system (banks monster exhaust with power elbow) to arrive. From what I understand the down pipe is where this valve exists. So If I have my thoughts together properly, I will need to undo the plug for the EBPV and trick it with a resister.
as far as a map sensor, is it possible I have a intake leak?
I really don't know yet. I have to dig in and see what might be happening. I just put this out there for some guidance when I do take a peek.
I also forgot to mention that my EBP average is 45. Is that normal? I'm running edge tuner on level 2 and 6637 intake mod and stock exhaust. That's all thus far.
So this is where my ignorance is showing unless I have a problem and just haven't realized it yet. When my truck is idling the EBP is 40-45. When I drive it can get over 50 when I put my foot into it. I will do some more analyzing and see if I can give better info.
I tried the whole cleaning process. Does seem to me that with the amount of soot that this can be problematic for all motors. This tube dead ends and was caked. Did not change anything however. I did not replace the sensor but that's my next move.
