good day, well would like some help if any one knows or have had the same problem . what i would like to do is switch from the small spicer u-joint to the larger 1330u-joint on frount of my rear drive shaft .i thought i had all i needed to do the job but the u-bolts i have for the bigger yoke dont fit the bigger yoke and the parts house doesnt have any that will fit . the yoke came off of a ford 205 t case 78? but it was a parts pu so not sure if it was really a 78. the yoke is not threaded so dont think it was a cv stille yoke any ideas?
the yoke you have is it a 1330 or 1350? the 1350 yoke needs a 9/16" wrench! will be installing a 1350 on my 205 tonight. upgrading all my yokes to help prevent failures. this is what i run on my other truck and been very reliable. run a 1410 series yoke on my front of transfer. my current truck I'm running a 1330 cv up front kind of a daily driver and a little abuse should hold. bronco graveyard sells all these parts is needed. If not a threaded yoke it is a u bolt style and the better of the yokes. the threaded style the caps will eventually come loose after abuse, personal experience.
ok not sure if it is a 1330 yoke but a 5-1330x u joint fits it perfect it is not threaded but i havent found a u bolt that will fit it. the holes have a center to center of 1-1/2 inch
i use bronco graveyard a lot. lots of good info to figure stuff out. If like you said it drops in and tight and no slop your good to go! any other questions drop message and see what we can do.
