Hey, hows it going people, was wondering if anyone had something like this happening to them ever? I recently purchased a H&S mini maxx and had it installed. I took the truck on a road trip (bout 150 miles round) and noticed that now my truck will intermittently puff a black/white mixture, the very odd time time jus a lil white and for the most part though its always black but seem to get that mixture quite a bit lately even in the city off stop lights. I previously had a edge cs tuner and it did that maybe 3-6 times when i had that tuner. had truck for bout 2 and half months now and im praying its not taking in coolant in to be causing the white smoke. Just purchased the H&S on friday. The trucks fluid levels are all fine and isnt throwing any codes its actually running better than ever with the new tuner, any body that has a suggestion id love to hear it thanx.
I cant remember exact numbers but 184fah for the coolant sound right? Id have to get that info next week as im flying out to las vegas in the morning
Sounds really low to me. My normal operating temps are always around 200 (+-10 degrees) for both oil & coolant. How long we're the trips you've been taking? A lot of city driving or short trips may be allowing moisture to build up in the CAC. That would also explain the low temps.

so if it was to be the cac is that something warranty would cover? The truck is a daily driver both on highway and in city. I live ten miles outta city so it gets a little highway run whenever driven.
Yes. It's under warranty. Moisture builds up in the CAC and when you go to get in the throttle of will sputter and blow white/gray smoke. If its raining or really humid this will happen.
hasnt been raining here and not to humid anymore outside temps are 55-75 F. Trucks coolant level is running about 185-190 F. I believe the H&S is setup up to block out the cycle of the EGR but i could be wrong. Talked wit ford and their saying it could be a number of things, but the drifting away from the CAC idea. EGR cooler its self and maybe Oil cooler.
