How to line-up splines on axle
I just replace the axle seal on my Ford F-250 and the dust seal my problem is trying to install the axle and lining-up the splines on the axle I have tried sevsral times to rotatethe axle shaft and get the splines to line up but have become very very frustrated and quit Is there something I'm missing doing wrong or what's up. This is the same axle that came out and now it is a bear trying to get the splines to line-up to install the axle. HELP

Is it apart? If so you can look in the socket and see where the
alignment grove is and then look at the shaft that you are
putting in. If it is all sealed up then do this. Take some tape or paint
make a mark on each side so you know where you started at.
Turn one way and try to push together if no go then move a tiny bit
and try again. Take your time. When you can't see what is going
on it is really frustrating.
