headmen headers help

I have a 1978 ford 150 and it has a 300 I6 in it and im trying to put headmen headers on it. It is missing the heat riser thing that runs from the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner but if i change the manifold to headers how is the headers gonna supply heat? "NOTE im only 16 i dont know that much about engines"

You need to one of these: Hedman Hedders Hot Air Kit - JEGS

Super easy to make if you've got a welder and some scrap tubing.
