99 Expedition Heater issue

sorry if this topic has been beaten like a dead horse but here goes. So tonight I looked into my heater issue and playing with the controls. There is no heat coming from the front. Nothing but cold air. But the heat comes out in the back just fine. When I turn the temperature control **** on the front it feels weird. Like it isn't connected to anything. Does this sound like a blend door issue or is it something with the temp control ****?

I would pull the **** off and make sure it is not cracked. I had this happen to me.

good call. pulled the **** off and it is cracked. Was just spinning on the shaft. Turned the shaft all the way to the right with a pair of pliers and the heat now works! Guess I'll be headed to the stealership this morning for a new temp control ****. But I'd rather do that than tear my dash apart for a blend door fix it obviously does not need. This site rocks! Thanks guys!!!!

Edit:

Got a new **** from the Ford stealership. $9.62 and all is well and works perfectly
