This often happens when a change like this is done.
The stock system is designed to be quiet so when a change made from stock it can happen.
It is a change in air speed and direction accross some part of the air system, something like blowing accross a soda bottle top and creating a low toned sound.
Get in there and listen around the area to find the part causing it all the way back past the throttle body.
BTW, no a 302 TB won't work at all.
It has to have the TPS to match the system and the right cable pull direction etc.
If your looking for more air and power, on a truck application, you may lose some low end torque.
The truck intake tract length is longer than a car's for better low end.
You change it and you may lose.
Good luck.
Can u also tell me if n e of the internals off a 4.6 gt fit like cams or crank maby even pistons just wanting sum cheap power adders without buying brand new stuff
You getting into mods now so the term cheap in not in the scheme of things.
Besides the mods, you need a PCM reprogram to work with the mods.
The PCM programs are all specific to the applications.
One mod is to use early pistons with the late heads.
This bumps the CR up a bit over 10 to 1.
Then a pair of after market cams.
Problem is the intake system is 'long runner' to favor lower end torque in small displacment motors.
When you get into these things you need to be concerned about compatabilty and PCM programming as well as possible larger injectors etc.
It opens a whole can of worms trying to change an engineered design.
Best you go to this website and read some. www.sporttruck.com/techarticles/0909st_ii.
Hope the link works because it may have been taken down but get to the site and look for moding the 4.6.
Good luck.
