I've used the floor board a couple times on the advice of a friend who worked as an installer back in the early 2000's. I thought it might overheat, but it turns out they really don't produce that much heat.
I'm going to route the stock rear camera to the Pioneer and then route the new front camera to the rear view mirror LCD and use an upfitter switch to activate it.

Thanks Bridge for all the great information. I have worked on vehicles as a hobby for years but don't feel comfortable with this install.
Good news is the guys at the car audio shop seem great and are very comfortable doing the install. The bad news is the total bill out the door is $2000.00 for a Pioneer Nav AVIC-Z140BH ( 7 inch screen) with the adaptors to make my Sync and steering wheel controls work along with a reverse camera. The break down is 1750.00 material and 250 labor.
Funny thing is I wouldn't have hesitated to check off the box for Nav if I had of ordered the truck but it doesn't sit well dishing out $2000.00 for an after market system. Guess I'm just a cheap guy.
