Some people really amaze me. The crazy thing is that I live by the guy who bought this stuff, and work only blocks from the shed.

I heard about that story yesterday. Real shame...what were they thinking? I would like to know why they did it.

Unfortunately that is a very common crime. Far more than anyone admits, and tragic in every case. They will find the bad guys in this one, because of the stupid disposal method. Fortunately over 80% of criminals really are totally stupid.

This situation suggests that maybe we should avoid storage default auctions.

How else is the business supposed to recover any of the monies due?

I have picked up 4 storage units at auction over the years, I have never found anything illegal.

In fact, at one of them, I found a box with 240 2 dollar silver certificate bills and 26 5 dollar silver certificate bills. Now, why not cash them in and pay the storage bill before it's delinquent?
