Ok... Guys I understand where you are coming from. I planned to replace them all cause I bought the truck sight unseen other than pics. I was in country and home for 3 days and the damn thing was missing. With my very limited time in country I was simply wanting to fix the issue so I wouldn't have to deal with it again. Didn't see the harm in doing a "tune up" on the truck so I hopefully could prevent any future issues.
Not personally, but the ACCEL COP's were tried by many of my Gen 2 L brethren and they weren't as good as the OEM coils. Neither were the Granatelli coils or the MSD coils.
I wasn't kidding when I said OEM was top of the line.
Quite a few guys with very high HP, built engines almost lost their engines because they were running with "better" aftermarket coils (read: ACCEL, MSD, Granatelli, etc) that were failing at the track or just daily driving.
There was a lot of finger pointing by certain factions in the aftermarket world and refusals by companies to warrantee coils.
I kinda felt like a threw away alot of cash when i replaced all my coils and plugs, boots etc. i've hung onto the old ones.
peace of mind that the next 100,000 miles it won't be the coils i'm worried about.
kinda like the brakes, i just replaced the entire set up and know that its good to go.

You just threw away cash when you replaced the coils. I would like to have 2 used ones and will pay for shipping+ (tried the give-away section to no avail).

Coils can go out anytime, not like brakes, I would have just kept a used spare.
