I been hammering the sludge outta my 1974 360 2v almost daily for close to 3 months now. I don't let it warm up and I get right to stomping on it. Half the miles are bush miles loaded with over a cord of wood, I floor it every time I'm in second and third, Ive had her up past 5000rpm too many times, the motor has one??? dead piston(30psi after 10 seconds), the lifters tick now, and I think I loosened up the rods and mains too since it doesn't hold as much oil pressure as it did before. To sum it up I used that 360 like it was indestructible
Wanna see the results?? I thought you guys might be interested since it's a pretty rare occassion to get an analysis on some oil thats been through that kinda crap. It's castrol 20w50 gtx with probaly more than 2000miles on it( can't tell the output shaft smashed the drive gear for the speedo)
