tried searching
(lousy at it)
but i am looking at a ad for a 1991 F350 diesel. would a smog cert be needed for this truck?
would this be the 7.3...would it have a turbo? need both.
no i do not know much still need to go and look at it. it is a drive from me.
The 7.3l came out in '87 or '88 and din't get a turbo until '93 and even then it was optional. In late '94 the powerstroke came out but for a time all three were produced at the same time
'91 would not have had a factory turbo however companies like Banks did and probably still do make aftermarket kits to put one on. It's not uncommon to see and old truck with a banks kit on it.
I have no idea about emmisions. They vary at the state and county level so you'd have to check with the DMV.
