I just had new tires put on my 2001 F 250 and my tire shop tells me that the drag link end is loose in the tapered hole in the main tie rod and also loose in the ball stud at the pitman arm. The truck has 138,000 miles on it and i always kept it greased.
Is this something one can replace at home and then bring the truck in for alignment?
They want $1,500.00 plus additional if main tie rod is bad!
Any help woould be appreciated.
Thanks,
Roger
I replaced the tierod ends on my draglink with moog parts about 2 years ago on my truck..... about 30 minutes in the driveway and 10 minutes in the garage.
