Bed Liners

My truck sat for about 4 months, I have a rubber bed mat and i lifted it to day and noticed i have some rust spots. I like the rubber mat in there but i want to hit it with some paint or bed liner. I dont have enough money to get the professional spray in bed liner. But i know they make the stuff in the spray paint can. Should i just spray it with spray paint or the bed liner stuff? Does anybody know how well the bed liner in a can works ?

The duplicolor bedarmor is great stuff for money. Very durable and isn't as thin as many of the store bought bed liners out there. They have the roll on kind and the spray on kind. The roll on kind is better in my opinion. I have a friend who used the roll on kind as both undercoating in the fender wells and as coating/sound deadening on the floor of his Ranchero. Looks great and works well.
