429 swap questions

Hello all, usually in the 67-72 forum but have a new project I need some help with. I have a buddy just bought a 67 F100. No engine or tranny. The PO had put a dreaded GM engine combo in there so there are no perches. We have a 71 model 429 4 barrel we are going to install but need info on the perches and motor mounts. Can we use them from a late 70's truck if we can find one that has a 460 in it?
The 429 has a c-6 behind it already.

429 swap questions

Up to '79, yes. Trans-Dapt also makes a set for a tad under $100. Got a set in my '65

I don't know if the late '70s stuff will work but L&L has all the engine mounts, headers, etc. to make the 385 series motors fit the early trucks. The parts aren't the cheapest but it'll save you a lot of time crawling through wrecking yards. Don't know what your buddy's budget is like....

I'll second the reference for L&L products. A little more expensive, but you only need to buy them once.
