Cam for '89 460
Talked to Charles at Camcraft, and he can grind me a 206/210 @.050" w/.490/.505" lift on 112lsa with lifters for $200. I think I have my bro-in-law talked into headers to replace his cracked manifolds too. Should be a real stump puller
Good luck with yours.
I finally changed to mass air with my 460, but the CJ cam from motorsport was installed with speed density and a chip and it work wonderfully for pulling trailers and around town, kept me in the power range while pulling hills 4th gear @ 2500-3700 rpm still building power rather than above it which was my problem with the RV cam also improved mileage while pulling by .5-1 mpg. The Speed density was irritated by the drop in Manifold pressure. Hypertech, Street & performance and several other companies have special chip burning departments. are you uping the compression ratio? I ran a little better than 9.5. definately open up your exaust ports and put in larger valves, your heads on a flow bench will floww a little better than a stock set of CJ heads. the speed density will work with head work like that. you can use a 1970 429 timing chain to place your cam @ top dead center.
My .02
