I got 0 info from my dealer and did not care. those sales guys are worthless and only care about the sale IMHO.

Got all the info from a member on the this board. It was awesome info. Once I knew the truck was in the local RR yard, I checked the dealers lot every day. I called them when I spotted it in back and told them I will pick it up tomorrow. Of course they said "we were just going to call you" right.................

Yes I guess sad to say the salesman could care less
I have to assume if he cared he would know where the truck is

Since some one who was kind enough on here to check with out me even asking why wouldn't my salesman try and help me
But the joke is on my salesman at this point
I told him that he better do what ever he needed to do to get the truck here
I dont have a signed deal with him
i will pick up my 2010 from him and buy a Gmc or a Chevy next week
We have both in out company and both are great trucks either will do fine...
No more games

They (dealer) have every ability to call their Ford regional rep and get a legit reason for it sitting there.

I know this feeling, as I just went through the same thing with my 2012 F450. We ordered it on 5/22 as a special order. Originally they said 6-8 weeks - which would be mid to end of July. The reality was we didnt take delivery until August 27. They pushed the delivery date back 3 times and actually "lost" the truck for a couple days during shipment... pretty unbelievable.

The process sucks - hard to understand how such a large company cant accurately track/time this stuff... hang in there! worth the wait!!

No need to apologize here my friend.

I think we can all relate and have been in your shoes at one time or another. As was said above, if you can, hang in there.....it's worth the wait.

Don't expect Chevy/GMC or Dodge to be any different.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

I have spent 1/2 a million bucks with this dealer over the last 30 years and they can even tell me where the truck is (yes that is a true statement)
The truck was built the 3rd week in August
And it still sits there
This very well may be my last ford product
I cant stand poor service...
Here is my order timeline...

2/27/12 - placed order
3/16/12 - order picked up @ factory
3/29/12 - VIN posted
4/7/12 - Shipped
4/10/12 - Arrived @ Dealer
4/11/12 - Picked Up

I did not order the spray in liner because it would add about two weeks to the order...

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since we called Ford and they said our new truck is in "transit". If we don't see our truck this week I'm going to be very dissappointed. I think its just the excitment of getting a new truck that makes us very impatient. :-)

Hold the phone there, big fella! Don't let an incompetent dealer sour you on the product... Pull your order with that place and go to the other dealer and git 'er done. Take the VIN number, too.

Guaranteed, though, as soon as they see money walking out the door, things will change quickly.

Bmc

I dont feel at this point it is about the dealer
This is Ford letting it sit at the plant for weeks before shipping it on the train to Ayre Mass
And as of today it still isnt here
This truck was built on 8/25/12
I said I wasnt going to rant anymore so thats it....

I owe my dealer an update
I was leaving the dealer on Saturday I had picked up my 2007 GTCS at about 2 PM I turned left on route 1 and coming at me was a new car hauler
On the top one the tailer was my truck
Yes believe it or not that this is true
I turned around to watch them unload my truck
There were 3 vehicles on the hauler
As I sat there the driver asked what one was mine
I told him and he said nice choice
I should have it by Tuesday ( I hope)\

Nice looking truck I hope the way to long wait is worth it
One interesting point was the truck driver said it has been at the shipping deport 2 days
Thats isnt what the Ford rep told my dealer
I Do not think I would ever again order a Vehicle from Ford
I have ordered for GM and Chevy several time and have never seen a problem like this
But you know when I ordered my 2007 GTCS the same thing went on
it sat at the rail yard for 4 weeks getting a hauler to take it to the dealer
The truck is nice looking but I am pissed at Ford for the poor service on shipping the Truck
Ford if they are going to remain the leader has to do better
One more point as the 1st of last week I asked my Dealer (who I have bought from the last 28 years ) what was going on he sent an email to the Ford rep she never got back to him
So shame on Ford
If I ran my company this way I would be out of Business
I have to say next time I may order a GM or Chevy product based on a very poor Ford rep
I really hope they send me that form to fill out on how happy I am
But I am sure my dealer will keep that from me
Ford Motors If you want to keep me as customer you need to do better......

I'm glad your truck is here, but this is what happens when you rely on the dealer for information.

What did Ford Customer Service say throughout all this?

I wouldn't worry, you'll be bombarded with customer satisfaction survey so you'll have ample opportunity to inform Dearborn and the dealer of your frustration.
