rebuilt motor burning oil??

Hi everybody, i got a rebuilt 351w that has a new crank ,new main bearings ,new comp cam ,new cam bearings ,GT40 heads ,new timing chain, piston and oil rings, new oil pump ,and its bored.40 over. but i did the break in it has about 3500mils. It idles great and great but whenever step on the gas and get it up to like 4000rpm+ it looks like it might be burning some oil but i dont really think its to big of a deal but i just wanted to have some more input.
Thanks, Jack

Could be that the rings didn't seat or the valve stem seals and guides are the problem. Loose intake bolts can be a source of oil in the intake tract too, allowing it to be sucked into the ports from the bottom side.

Must not be too bad or you would be mentioning amount of oil being lost. What oil are you running? Synthetic oils can lose a bit till engine is fully broken in. Moly rings can also take longer to seat. Make sure PCV system is hooked up and working properly. Good luck.
