Am I missing something?
Finally got my engine together and am installing it in the frame and the motor mounts don't look right. The mounting face of the water pump is not parallele to the mating face of the rubber mount. Seems to me that there might be a stamped steel perch bolted down with three screws. Am I right or am I just supposed to let the weight over time mash the rubber mounts into submisson.

Problem solved! I found a pair down the street from me. A neighbor has a '52 that he restored many yeas ago. I went down to knock on his door & asked to look at his truck. He obliged me and when I explained my situation he went out back and came back with a pair of brackets. What a prince of a man.
