Am I missing something?

Finally got my engine together and am installing it in the frame and the motor mounts don't look right. The mounting face of the water pump is not parallele to the mating face of the rubber mount. Seems to me that there might be a stamped steel perch bolted down with three screws. Am I right or am I just supposed to let the weight over time mash the rubber mounts into submisson.:confused

You're missing the perches used on '52 V-8s. The diagonals were changed in '52 to accommodate the new OHV 215 6 cylinder. Stu

Yup, the perches are missing. I had them in my 52 when the flathead was installed, which wasn't correct for my truck. I should still have them somewhere after I pulled the flathead out.

If Ilya can't find his or doesn't have them anymore, I have a pair. They're a 1952 only part, found in V8 trucks, and '52 F6's with the old flathead 254 6 cylinder also.

Problem solved! I found a pair down the street from me. A neighbor has a '52 that he restored many yeas ago. I went down to knock on his door & asked to look at his truck. He obliged me and when I explained my situation he went out back and came back with a pair of brackets. What a prince of a man.

Thanks to all who replied.
