Allstate heater vs Magic Air

I found this heater at a swap meet a few months ago. It looks exactly the same as Ford's Magic Air heater. However, the Allstate version is just a recirculating heater. It's missing the back cover, but I'm hoping that a Magic Air cover will fit.

Has anyone else seen an Allstate heater like this one or know any more info about it?

Thanks, John. It's a very, very slow process.

All Sears ever did was rebadge stuff made by outside sources. It probably was made by Ford's same supplier. Stu

I thought the same, just have never seen one as exact as the Magic Air.

I wouldn't mind finding a set of the Allstate made heads. I like neat/different things like that.

Ilya, you knew I would have to add my 2 cents to this.
You could have fooled me with a straight on forward pic w/ the motor cover badge removed .Is there a motor behind it ? What is the C-C on the heater core tubes "51 is 5 1/8 " and '52 is 3 1/8 ". Have many restored Magic air heaters & related parts going with me to Daytona. Remember I can hook you up with what ever you need Magic air wise .Have a round face Arvin heater almost ready and picked up a DEluxe GMC truck Harrison heater w/ NOS defrost ducts from a friend of mine to take along . Will send you some pics .Later , Denny

You're right, Jordan. It may not have had a back cover and just attached to the firewall.

I have one of those that came out of my Merc. I've seen them in pictures of a couple of other Canadian trucks, too. I think they may be fairly rare.
