As in bad a$$. I just put in my first tune after 6+ years and 70,000 miles. It's a totally new truck! The lag is gone. It will even scratch the tire when it shifts. To bad it was not like this from the factory, they would have sold like hot cakes. I did a sneaky pipe (welded the EGR cooler closed with stainless plates both ends), cat delete, DC Power XP 250 alternator, ipr high flow coolant filter, blue spring mod, Dashboss gauges with fuel pressurer and EGT option, Riff Raff CAC Boots, stand pipes, dummy plugs, STC fitting, updated turbo drain pipe, CVC reroute. PHP Gryphon Atlas 80 and a 25 HP tow tune with a egr delete and rollback strategy. It does not smoke. I want to thank everyone that contributes to this forum!!!
eventually, i'll need to get my updated turbo drain pipe. so far so good.
correct me if i'm wrong, but i've heard some bad reviews on the riff raff cac boots. or it might be something else.
ur setup sounds good. did u also get ur ARP headstuds? since ur tuned and all tat, it might be best to get them on. more beneficial in the long run.
since we're on mods, u might wanna think about the Powermax turbo. i've heard nothing but good things bout tat.
congrats on ur setup. i'm sure u love ur truck more now than when u first got her. i know i do.
I have only heard of good thing about Riff Raff CAC boots. They are new so no problems yet, will let you now if something comes up. I would love to do the ARP studs but that job might be to tough for me. I'm really happy now, Powermax can wait. Eric

Liar, everyone here knows 6.0's are junk!........oh wait....this ain't the Super Duty forum.
The IPR higher flowing coolant filter is a quality piece with a price to match. I have not cleaned the filter yet. When the truck had 30,000 miles the EGR cooler started leaking and the oil cooler was plugged up. The dealer fixed it and flush the cooling system. I just switched to Rotella ECL coolant and flushed it again (@ 70K) before I installed the filter and the coolant was very clean. I think the first oil cooler acted like a filter. My ECT and EOT look good. Hopefully when I take the filter out it will not need to be cleaned and the IPR High flow coolant filter will be a waste of money. Its like insurance to me.
Lol. Nice to know. The six-oh is not junk. People who say that are ignorant n don't know how to really take care of her n what kind of stuff that is really needed, e.g. scangauge, blue spring, etc.
No probs Eric. I appreciate the response already. No offense to riff raff. I might have mistaken something else. My bad.

No problem. We aren't as involved in the 6.0L forum as others, but do try and keep track of the threads. We just want to make sure that we are providing the best product we can.
