Actually I never believe anything they use for an ad because they can always rig it. Just like those stupid ads on TV like vacuums that pick up ball bearings hmmm.................chrome plated plastic *****. And who would need a vacuum that powerful anyway? I wouldn't feel very smart in a high speed crash, that Smart cage would probably roll a quarter mile.

Hit the brake to hard and you become a bowling ball.
Honestly what is so great about a smart car? I used to think they got outstanding mileage until I found out they only get 35mpg... Knowing that I can't see a single point to having one.

Same here.
Apparently they sell them in Europe with a tiny diesel that gets great mileage. But not in the US.
I was also very disappointing with the mileage. You can get a much bigger car that gets the same epa rating.
The Smart is a roll cage on wheels. If it can withstand that 70mph crash, setting a fully load EX on top is not a big deal. The car may withstand the 70mph crash but your body is not capable of stopping that fast, your brain would be mush and your heart would snap off the Aorta.
