Inside door handle broke loose, please help!
you have a couple of options. they are readily available at your local NAPA store for less than ten bucks. you specify left or right and also they are available in both plastic (will break again) or chrome, i suggest the metal ones.
pretty easy fix... you will need either an 8mm or 10mm socket on a 6 inch extension. 1/4" drive flex head ratchet works best. some folks say you can replace without removing the door panel, but it's easier if you at least free up the bottom of the door panel. as far as the window **** goes, its pretty easy too.
pull and squeeze at the round center portion, it will pop loose but remain attached to the hidden inner section of the handle. inside you will find a t-15 star head screw. unscrew it and the handle will come off. be careful to not loose the round shim underneath. then pop the panel by lifting and separating from the door. no clips involved, these doors hang on hooks that are a molded part of the panel, so careful to not break, although you'll probably have at least one casualty. at that point, only one small bolt holds on the door handle. remove and replace using one hand outside the panel and one between the panel and the door.
reverse the process and you're ready to move on, that is, of course, after you bandage those scratched up knuckles.
