Just talked to service rep...told me that they are sending a special investigator to the shop next Tuesday to look at the truck and determine their next step. He believes that they will put in a new engine or try to rebuild it a 4th time...before they make an offer to buy back. Still have not heard back from customer service as they were reviewing lemon laws

UPDATE!!
Ford rep just called and they are not buying the truck back..(shocker)
But they are putting in a Brand New Engine, adding 2yrs and 100k to warranty....and
a $600 refund for loss of use!! Not to bad, Actually, I think it is the best result!!!

Motor arrived yesterday, a Ford service engineer visited the dealer to inspect old motor. Should be together in 2 or 3 days

Take it easy and vary the speed, no WOT.

Check your coolant at every fuel stop. There is likely to be some air in the system and you will need to add some coolant.

I would make sure you drive the thing a good amount locally before your trip, it never fails after a cab off that their are multiple leaks or even a check engine light from connectors they forgot to plug in etc... And also like senix said, check your coolant, and i would check all other fluids as well. You do not want to discover the issue on your road trip while towing.

Good advice...The ETKMS.. I have already had a problem..The backup camera in the review mirror does not work. Just a blue screen. They took it back in and checked everything but could not figure it out...want me to bring it back in on Monday. On the the other hand..it seems to run good. Motor is new from top to bottom...all filters fuel and oil changed. They told me they were all changed, just checked air and it was not...

I'd still check all the fluid levels regardless. Hopefully they get the reverse camera situation taken care of.
