Engine coolant temp too low?

Engine coolant temp too low?
I have a 96' F-150 4x4 302 Auto and the truck is reading the coolant temp when the engine is hot at 199 degrees. That seemed low to me, and if it is could there be a sensor messed up? I read on a different thread a while back about that affecting mpgs because it thinks the engine is cool and therefore gives it more fuel. If so, how do I fix it, and if that is an okay coolant temp then thank you for telling me.

Okay, just seemed low for an engine, but I guess the coolant does get masses of air on it through the radiator. Probably should have thought about that and the thermostat thing before posting here, but thanks for the quick reply.
