A/C Compressor seizing up

A/C Compressor seizing up
My A/C compressor is seizing up. When I turn on the defrost or A/C, it will put a noticeable load on the engine. The pulley bearing spins fine when the clutch is not engaged. I removed the clutch and pulley, then reinstalled the clutch hub in order to rotate the shaft, and I can barely turn it by hand. Anyone taken one of these apart and replaced the bearings?

EDT: take the truck somewhere and have them evac the system. after you change the compressor and receiver/dryer you will take it back to them to have it vacuum checked and charged.

If you decide to replace the compressor, send me a PM. I have a remanufactured one that has been on the truck a while but has never been charged or run. It spins freely and should be cheaper than buying a remanned unit outright.
