Advance Auto Parts $13.99 for two better than $26 each from ford dealer!
part number 9.9101G

Before
If you look closely you can see the bolt head is deformed from hitting the u-bolt.

Two 13mm bolts with jam nuts hold the factory bump stops on. I reused one of the jam nuts on the new bump stop.
So do you think that the broken off bump stop is the problem or simply a symptom of the problem? Probably wouldn't have broken off if it hadn't been slammed by the axle more than a few times. There's a fix for this.
Wpanes-thanks
Beardown-suspension.com lists energy suspension part # 9.9155 ($23/pair) as the bump stop front and rear for 00-01 4wd Excursions... I thought 00-05 Excursions were pretty much the same though.
Stewart_H-thanks
ExV10-a mild wheeling trip last week exposed the problem when I went thru a dip and the heavy front end slammed down on the springs
Crazy001-the bumpstops didn't look too healthy the last time I noticed them 6-12 months ago... But at least they were still attached! In day to day driving I never hit the bumpstops but on this mild wheeling trip I went thru this dip a bit faster than I should have... And BAM! on the other side.
The ones you see in my hands are the Energy Suspension ones listed in the post above. They are going on in the next couple of days as I have time. The one that you see below is a Ford stop that was only 14 months old and in this condition.
I decided I was tired of the springs and there performance, so I changed them last week. Once the new bump stops are installed, I hope they will last longer than the factory ones.
