We need more info on the 2 trucks, years and drivetrains. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish.

The ranger is an 88 super cab..2.9 4x4..
I have the 351w out of a 79 e150 van and the c4 that came with it.
The ranger is lifted 4" so no pounding of floor pans. The seem along the tranny tunnel will still needs folded over. The heater box might still need notched..even with the lift its a tight fit.
I've got everything figured out except my 4x4.
The c4 out of the e150 doesnt come with a tail housing to mount a t-case to. I have found an adapter to use with the c4 that is the correct length from Jamesduff.com
Here's the question...do i need the adapter or can i use the f150 setup?
I can get a hold of a junked 82 f150 4x4...I dont know much else about it. Its a 6cylinder...straight or V.... dunno.
I just need to know if it is an option to use the transmission,
t-case, and drive shafts out of the f150 truck...
(cut down of course)(I need to find out if the tranny can handle a 351)
there's many questions to be answered before I proceed.
(i posted here..cause the guys in the ranger forum seem to be all about how she looks)
no offense intended...I am one of the guys in the ranger forum....
