CD Changer
I have A 98 Ford Exlporer XLT V8. Some of the buttons on the radio don't work so I am thinking about replacing it. Can I still hook-up my stock CD-Changer to a different radio and control it, or will it only work with the stock radio?

It will only work with the stock radio.
The Ford radio's have a notorious problem with the display quitting on you. You can get it fixed for about $80.00 or try to solder it yourself but in the long run, you're better of with the new head unit. I am now getting the beginnings of this problem with mine (99 Limited 5.0). I am about to buy a new head unit.
The good thing is, you can sell the CD changer on Ebay and get about $100.00 for it. That's what I will be doing. At least you can recoup some of the cost of the new head unit.
