I have the opportunity to buy a 89 f250 4x4 diesel with ats turbo for $500! Would it be worth taking the brand new 400 out of my truck to put a diesel motor in? I have always wanted it to be a diesel, but I got over $3000 in that motor. I just can't find a dash and harness that will work anywhere! What are your guys' opinion? Anyone have a dash and harness that will work with my 400? Any imput would be appreciated!
That is currently my driver. The diesel needs a little work before it is a daily driver. I drove it today, but needs a few things fixed. I can sell the 76, i wouldn't be able to get to work and school.
What's good about the 1980 besides the engine? You like the "look" of the 80? You could bolt the 1980 frontend onto the 1989 if you wanted the 89 to look like the 80. You could swap beds also.
After a lot of thinking. I have decided to pass on buying the diesel. I just need to finish my 80 project, not add more to it. Then I can buy a diesel later on and do that one. Thanks for all the input!
A running diesel 4x4 for $500 is a great deal. I know you're in a tight spot but I would jump on it and either flip it for a profit or fix it up or whatever.
