I have a 2004 F150 pickup, when I went to put gas in today, the fuel door is loose and will not stay shut. It acts like the hinge is broken, is this an easy replacement, if so, how do I do it after buying a new one? Thanks for any helpl

 

I had to have mine replaced on my old 2004 when it was five years old. I can't remember exactly how much the dealer charged, but I know it was under $200.

 

The spring has likely come off rather than the hinge mechanism being broken.

 

Went to local ford dealer, ordered just the hinge part, changed it myself in about five minutes, used same outside, just replaced hinge part.
