Ok, this is probably an easy question but I need some help. I have a 1976 Ford F-250. It has a rebuilt engine that says it's a 360. I'm having some problems with it stalling right after starting up from a stop sign. I'm assuming that it is the accelorator pump. I started to look for a rebuild kit but realized that I don't know what the carb is. Where would I even look to figure this out? Is there going to be a stamp somewhere? I don't see anything obvious. Any help would be great.
To check the accelerator pump, look down carb (with engine OFF ) and push throttle open. There should be two streams of fuel spraying into the carb. The streams should be steady and smooth with throttle movement.
I'm a little confused, would you explain the sentence to me. - you wrote: "I'm having some problems with it stalling right after starting up from a stop sign."
Is the problem that it stalls or won't start - and where does the stop sign come into this?
Is this when the engine is cold or warm?
Is it a 2 barrel or 4 barrel? The numbers are usually on a small metal tag or stamped into the side of the carb. Is there a brand name cast into the carb - like Motorcraft or Holley?
- Help me help you...

Ok, I did some more digging around. It says Motorcraft on it and I found a partial number. There is a sticker that says 5341AA and then below it there is a ?014995?. I'm not sure what the end numbers are on the second set of numbers.
The truck will stall when starting from a stop sign or just barely moving. I have to feather it a bit but once I'm moving it takes right off. I'm assuming it's the accelorator pump but I could be way off. It doesn't seem to matter whether the engine is hot or cold. I did look into the carb and push the accelorator pump lever. Two streams shot out but they very pretty thin. I don't really know how big they should be though. They hit the outside of the barrels. It's a two barrel by the way. Am I on the right track and are these actual part numbers or something completely different?
