break in period

I am new to this forum and not sure how to navigate around the site. I need any info on break in period for my 2012 f350 super duty deisel.

That info is in the diesel supplement guid, inside the owners manual under maintenece schedule.

Just drive it normally. Break-in isn't what it used to be. That first 500 miles will go by before you know it. Drive it and enjoy it.

drive it normal, vary to the speed, no WOT and no towing for the first 500 miles. I think the book says 1K.

Once you hook up a trailer, same thing. Take it easy for the first few hundred. Let the powertrain/driveline get used to the final break in.

Then you should be good to go.

My first 10 miles I had no trailer hooked up.After that was towing 10 k trailer...Just drive it...
