Charge issues

Hi,
Over the past weekend i noticed all the electronics having a slight "flicker", so i figured my alternator was on its way out. After replacing the alt with a reman i still had the issue. Then, replaced it with a new new one and the issue still persists. I will be getting a meter to test later when my buddy gets off work. The gauge on the dash is running high and batt light is flickering. Is there something im missing? I ran another ground to frame also.

Sounds like the Alternator is running out of control.
No matter how many times you change it the same issue is still there.
Look for a small inline 20 amp fuse between the Alternator and the Megafuse for being blown. Or even bent pins or bad plugup.
The light won't go out because the regulator has to open ground to it.
If the Alternator is not being controlled the regulator cannot open the ground to the charge lamp.
This design is how you know a simple lamp tells you there is still a problem even after changing the Alternator.
Good luck.

I ended up getting curious and swapped the 20A fuse for the alt field for a different one, it wasnt blown but looked in rough shape at the tips. All is good now. So far so good!!

Sometimes the fuse holder gets corrosion in the fuse tip area from outside elements.
If the fuse you removed was tested with a meter and found good, it likely would work again after being disturbed and put back in.
Sometimes the holder spring goes bad or the corrosion process continues and another issue developes later.
Look at it closely by pushing the wire ends out of the holder for inspection.
Sometimes a die electric grease may help a persistant problem.
Good luck. You found the source.
