I guess I have a stupid phone. If I touch the screen, it don't do nothing. That thing don't even take pictures. I've never texted before. And, what the chit is twitter and facebook???
But I can skin a gator.
Grandpa, did you walk away from "the home" again? Your going to miss bingo night....
In that vein, ya gotta ("gotta"?? Uh-ohhh! ) love it when someone posts they "...wanna sale my truck for a good price..."
Hey man, don't bother me, just passing through with my pet peeve...

LOL Stewart.
It's just funny that some people are real **** on the forums. Don't really care too much, but in the real world, there are a few that drive me bat chit.
1.) so like, and like, like this, cuz like, like like like, like
2.) Supossibly
3.) Double Negatives (ain't got no, don't have nothing, etc...)
Those, along with people that actually say O.M.G., W.T.F., L.O.L. or say HELLO to be rude or sarcastic in everyday conversation. It's no surprise the USA is falling behind.

That was me. I used to be (use to be, heh heh heh) like that.
It would bug me to no end whenever someone posted with very bad grammar (grammer, LOLOL), but I got over it. Now, about the only thing that bothers me is text speak or twitter speak on a forum. Especially if someone adds a hash tag. This aint Twitter.
On a couple other forums I frequented years ago, there were a lot of younger folk who used bad grammar. It wasn't tolerated.
When I came here, it became very apparent the members were much more tolerant. I softened over time.

Still waiting for FB and Twit to DIE!!- Really take a lot of joy in watching that stock crash and burn. Agree with you about the twit speak on forums. That bugs me just as much as people who actually take the time to LIKE write the word LIKE in LIKE just about every LIKE sentence.
Wife thinks I am getting more uptight with age, and that's probably true. The apathetic attitude of the younger generation, coupled with their sense of entitlement, is enough to drive anyone crazy.

Well, it sounds like it's time we all start texting Rick and then laugh when we think about him wondering why if phone is making noises, but no one is there if he tries to answer.
And you're not too old to learn how Rick. My parents have started texting me and my in-laws text my wife all the time. The cut off seems to be 80. I've got some neighbors in their late 80's and they won't even touch a cell phone. Younger than 80 and they seem to be texting.
I recently went over 100 texts per month, so I'm a regular now.

Ha Chris, I've had people try to text me but my phone never makes a sound.
I heard texting leads to greater problems to come. If I start texting, then I might get a face thingy account, then that will lead to tweeting. I already have enough bad habbits at this time.
