1996 F250 Power windows domt work, make clicking noise
I have a 1996 f250. The power windows on both the driver and passenger side wont work. They are rolled up. When you press either switch you here one click and then another click when the switch is depressed. I have read a couple of threads and switched all three switches around and nothing. I have removed the driver side motor to do the rebuild like in a previous post with the hex bolts, but could not see how to open it up. The motor almost looked a little different than the motor in the write up I found on here. Anyways, I ran some wires to an extra car battery I had just to see if the motor would work and it did. Both directions the motor worked fine. Is it possible that all three window switches are bad? Is there a way to confirm it is the switches before I buy any of them? O, I also checked the fuses and all were good. I dont think it is the relay because when the relay is removed you hear nothing when the switched is pressed. Could be wrong though. The truck is ex-cab if that helps.

When I finished putting the door back together I noticed the window was partially down. Had to retake the door apart and decided to jump the motor to roll it up since the motor had just worked. Now the motor wont work. Took the motor back out and tried jumping it. Nothing. Mabe both motors are bad. If someone can tell me how to upload pictures from an Iphone I will get a couple of the motor in case I just cant figure out how to open it up.
